In San Francisco in the 1900s, a white woman is murdered in Chinatown, and the suspect turns out to be a Chinese man. The murder causes public shock, and the public demands that Chinatown be outlawed. The case involves a practicing Chinese doctor QIN FU (LIU Haozhan) and a Chinese A Gui (WAN Baoqiang), and they race against time to find the killer in a battle of wits and courage.
